Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a 2D side-scrolling adventure/puzzle game developed by Ubisoft Montpellier. The game is developed within the UbiArt Framework engine and follows five characters of different nationalities during their time spent on the battlefields of World War 1.

The game is set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2014.

Characters

Emile - A French farmer who becomes a POW (prisoner of war) while searching for his son-in-law.
Freddie - An American soldier fighting in the war to honor is fallen wife.
Ana - A Belgian nurse tending to the wounded soldiers on the battlefield.
George - A British pilot who actually doesn't know how to fly a plane.
Karl - A German soldier who's in love with Emile's daughter.
Walt - An adorable dog, currently nameless, who intersects with each of the characters and can help solve puzzles.
